We worry. We fear. We doubt

We worry. We fear. We doubt.

We seek understanding and question meaning. Throughout our lifetime, we usually seek our purpose and what we are meant to do. We question why we are here, what we are meant to do, what we can give to the world, and if we can do so. We ask ourselves if we are enough and if we can accomplish what we want to do. We question ourselves and doubt our potential because we are unaware of who we are and what we can do. The main thing we seek is knowledge. The things that stop us from getting the answers are assumptions and predispositions of how things are. But can that be changed? Well, it is up to you to be willing to get your truth out in the open so you can finally see it.

The worry, fear and doubt are our egos telling us that there are things that we have yet to deal with. They are the limitations we place on ourselves to put a stop to reaching what we don’t think are capable of doing. But why do we do this? Why do we question who we are? We are surrounded by the notion of finding authenticity and individuality and are now influenced by becoming in tune with who we are. But why is it so difficult? Regardless of being surrounded by people who are becoming better, and finding who they are, why do we question if we are capable of doing that same thing?

The thing with finding yourself or finding your purpose in your lifetime is not on how you can become something, but by understanding what you can give back. And there is this confusion of dreaming of a lifestyle and having the materialistic luxuries society has to offer. There is a clear desire to want to belong in certain categories and have labels that we forget to live life. We scroll on social media, watch videos of people living a life we say we want, and immediately feel regret and sorrow for not being able to have that same experience. But let’s just say that in that moment, you are given the chance to live that life and that experience, would you take it? If so, what is stopping you?

We compare and dream of things we want to have and work towards them. But throughout the journey, we face obstacles and triggers that stop us from moving forward. But what if those same obstacles and triggers are the things that we need to learn, grow and get to that experience or lifestyle we want so that when we are living it, we can enjoy it more? What if we go through life and have these experiences as a way to appreciate the reward even more? It is like an athlete who trains and works hard towards getting that medal and winning first place. You don’t get that with the snap of your fingers or overnight, because the reward would not be appreciated as much.

Well, I had an experience recently that made me realize how much we beat ourselves down for the things we go through when they are opportunities to appreciate the things we have and get even more. I realized I would put myself in situations I didn’t want, or do things for the sake of it without thinking, or even just taking things for granted. I realized the importance of understanding what you want and how you have control over choosing how you want to live life. Regardless of the situation you are in (whether it be working a bunch of hours, studying intensively, or working out), as hard as it can be, we do it for a reason. And sometimes we have to change the reason why we are doing something to appreciate it more. I feel as though it is understanding that your life matters just as much as anybody else. It is easy to do nothing and complain, or gossip, or lay in bed and do nothing; but what do we get out of that? Why do we feel as though our life is less important than somebody else? Why do we feel like we don’t deserve something or maybe even question if we are worthy of having that one thing that we have been dreaming of? What if it isn’t necessarily the dream that we haven’t gotten yet that stops us, but the focus on only dreaming about that one thing and forgetting all of the little things that we have accomplished to get closer to reaching that goal we want to achieve?

I don’t know, just as though…
