Understanding our emotions

Our emotions reflect our physical body, and we only see these when we have specific changes to our physique or health. Let me explain; we may gain weight due to not being able to let go. We may have pimples on our faces because we find it hard to accept and don’t allow ourselves to be beautiful. We may have a sore throat because we have something to say, and we are holding back and not expressing how we truly feel. Or we may have a headache or feel out of place because we feel overwhelmed and have not truly started dealing with our problems and things start bottling up.

All of these reactions are because of our emotions and mental state. Some may believe it, and others may not. But I think it is all about perspective, and what you believe is what you will act upon. So if you think that your emotions can reflect how you look, you will find ways to manipulate your feelings to feel better and positive. However, I do have to say that from experience, the emotions we feel are sometimes a chain reaction of our thought-process or vice versa.

Another thing that I have noted is that we either feel positive or negative emotions, and those emotions can also affect our surroundings. Have you ever had a day of unfortunate events that felt like it was some sort of domino effect? Or have you ever had just a great day where nothing could affect you because you felt good and grateful about everything?

Let me switch it up a bit. Have you ever thought of something you didn’t want and ended up getting that specific thing you didn’t like? Well, it is all in the mind’s eye. We control how we are, who we are, and what we surround ourselves with. It is, as many call it, the Law of Attraction. The moment we are in tune with our thoughts, or we are in tune with our emotions and are capable of accepting and embracing those negative emotions and letting them go once and for all. We are simply in the process of being in alignment and flowing with who we truly are.

So, now and then, I invite you to check in with your emotions and listen to your body. Your body is your best source of answers if you ever have questions about what is going on in your life. We can change that thought process by shifting our perspective about life.
