The truth behind a laugh that leads to a tear

When was the last time you had a laughing attack? Like a literal laughing attack where you peed in your pants and balled your eyes out? And have you ever put a smile on your face because of a contagious smile somebody else had and passed onto you?

Because a smile, a smirk, or a laugh is so contagious that it can change everything. From a relationship, friendship, a connection, or a mood. But the best, most honest and genuine emotion that can be expressed by the look of someone is happiness and joy. It can be represented by the mouth and the pearls of the teeth, and the beholder’s eyes. However, something that can be so sad but so awakening is the feeling of when you have not laughed in a while, and you genuinely laugh till you pee in your pants.

I don’t know if you have heard of the term “laughing attack,” but I will tell you that that is one of the reasons my mom and I have gotten through quarantine, lockdown, a f*cking pandemic, and even tolerate each other. But something that I just realized is that a real laugh is only shared with those you trust. A smile is shared with those you want to spread joy to, with the ones you encountered and wish to express the emotion of happiness and delight. But a smirk is only seen with the mouth and not with the eyes because it is so straightforward and with a confused meaning behind it, which can lead to a misunderstanding if it is real joy or only politeness. But as I mentioned before, the eyes tell you if a person is honestly happy or merely being polite. So, when was the last time you really had that great sensation of laughing till your abs hurt and you couldn’t even breathe?
