F**k It

Updated: Jul 29, 2020

Don’t you ever want just to say, “f**k it?” I mean just living without worrying about what everybody else thinks? Cause that would be the definition of living without fear. And it’s evident that we all fear something, but what is it that we fear precisely? Is it because our friends won’t like us anymore, or because our parents wouldn’t be proud of us because we aren’t the perfect child? Sometimes you just want to do anything you want to do and say f**k it to everything. Some might want to travel the world, get into the best college, kiss your crush, go to a concert, or something similar, and you can do it! Sadly, some have more severe consequences because of the people they are surrounded by; but, honestly, by the end of the day, it’s your life and nobody else’s.

Let me tell you of something someone told me once, and it has helped me in so many things, especially not to feel guilty about doing something that you want; that is to “have no regrets.” I added to that: “have no regrets… just lessons to learn.” Honestly, this had helped on several occasions, like when I went to a party or even a date. From every experience or regret you have, there is a lesson to learn, also if it is pure nonsense or the thing you needed to realize to take a different path. Because sometimes, when you say f**k it, and you expect the guilt to be temporary, it sometimes isn’t, and that is no one’s fault but your own, because you haven’t accepted the fact that you did something that does have consequences. However, when you are owning up to what you did and acknowledge it, that f**k it moment is no longer temporary but something that will be with you. I know it may sound clichè, but it is the truth. And, yes, or no, but probably a way to mature is by owning up and acknowledging the actions that you have done and blame no other. By the end of the day, the experiences that you have lived have made you who you are today.

And just a simple reminder that if you live in fear, are you living the way that you want to live?
