Life is like a roller coaster

We constantly change, evolve, and shift even if we don’t know it - moods, emotions, and state of mind. We have ups and downs, and life is like a roller coaster; we just don’t know the meaning behind it. I was walking with my mom today, and I recalled something that happened a few months ago with a friend. After a while, I saw him, and he mentioned that he knew me for my ups and downs, and that comment bothered me. Why? Because he never really asked what was going on, and he never really was there, so why would he judge me in that way? However, I then realized that that was not the only thing that bothered me; I had been recognized for my past, for who I was and not for who I had become. Life may be like a roller coaster, and, yes, we may have our ups and downs and sometimes upside-down moments, but it is completely normal. Life is a ride where we have two options, like any other thing, we may enjoy the ride, put a smile on our face and lift our arms and let the ride be, or we can feel nauseous and in the constant thought of wanting to get off because it is too much. And what I concluded from this analogy was that we always have two options; we always have the opportunity to make a choice and a decision. Letting go is one of them, or holding on is another. Either one will depend on your thought process and how you are in that moment. It is completely fine to go up or go down, and even upside down from time to time, but you have to find that balance where you know that you are okay and that everything will be okay.

We are searching for another option, solution, or way out when it is right in front of us what we have to do. Like the roller coaster, we let go of that that is holding us back. We let go of that fear of not wanting to enjoy the ride for the simple reason that it’ll be easier to get through it, just like life. I know, you may be thinking, that I am crazy for even thinking that it is that simple, it is, and it isn’t. Let me explain… We complicate life for how we see the journey in front of us and for the destination we want to get to. If we see that we do not like the journey, we will resist and find another way, making it harder and with more obstacles; let’s say it becomes a bumpy ride. It doesn’t have to be that way. Once we make clear what in life is holding us back from letting go to enjoy the ride and let our arms go up, we can see how easy life can be. We are the only ones who can jeopardize our state of being and our state of life. We have the choice to let our arms up or hold on and always expect what next will come, always worried. Let me ask you a question. If you were on a roller coaster, would you like to feel after you get off that you want to get back on, do it all over again, or get off and never look back because it was simply too much?
