Feeling Lost

Haven't you felt lost? You know, that feeling that you are alone, making you feel lonely? You are drowning, and even breathing starts to be a complicated task. You try to find someone who will help you to give your lungs oxygen again, but no one seems to have time for you, and suddenly, that pain in your brain fades away. Everything fades away, and you are alone...only your thoughts as company. Your eyes start to ache, and you know that you need to stop because people will see, and everyone will come with the same reaction. “What happened?” Your answer is “I don't know” even though you do, but you don’t want to say it out loud because it becomes real. You know that you have a better answer to that, but you are not sure what is happening inside of you. Have you ever felt that? Because I have.

That is the moment that made me realize that we need to be our superheroes because sometimes our voice is not loud enough for others to hear. Our tears may be confused because we feel as if we are always in an ocean of people. We can't wait for others to magically understand that we are drowning and to come to rescue us. We have two options, either we attempt to swim to try and save ourselves, or if it is too hard, we ask for help without being afraid of being called weak. You are not weak when you ask for help; you are braver than many others.

Don't be afraid to be sad sometimes, because you have the right to cry and feel bad. It's ok, not to be ok. There is no way to rise if you don't fall. And being free means accepting those hard times of life, repeating to yourself that you are not a sad person just because you allow yourself to feel. You are a happy person that has been hurt like any other. You are not alone, even if you feel lonely, and that is the fuk'd up truth.
